Founded by Stephanie Stathopoulos, Studio Pinelo is a visual art and design studio based in Melbourne, Australia. Stephanie's artistic practice spans over two decades, specialising in emotive black and white portraiture and abstract expressionist works.

She has worked as an interior designer for 10 years, contributing to over 100 projects across the commercial and residential sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Environments (Architecture) from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Design (Interior Design) from Swinburne University of Technology, and is currently a lecturer at the Australian College of the Arts, teaching immersive installation design, design drawing, and creative theory.

Her practice moves between painting and interior design, two disciplines she treats as versions of the same question: how does a space or surface hold attention? She approaches interiors compositionally, working with texture, transparency, and negative space the way she would on canvas.
